Effective date: September 22, 2026
Cavalier Design Group ("we," "us," or "our") operates cavalierdg.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use and share it, the choices you have, and how to reach us. By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. We collect information you choose to provide, such as:
- your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message when you contact us or request a quote or appointment
- any other information you send us directly
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically record technical data such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, the time spent on them, and the links you click. This is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in the Cookies section below.
Embedded content. Some pages embed content from third parties (Calendly). Those providers may collect data about your visit as if you had visited their own sites, under their own privacy policies.
How we use information
- to respond to your inquiries and provide the services, products, or information you request
- to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site, including understanding how visitors use it
- to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use the following kinds of technologies:
- Strictly necessary cookies that make the Site work and remember your privacy choices
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics that help us understand how the Site is used; Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, and we use IP anonymization and consent settings where available
- Functional cookies set by embedded third-party content
You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, and read more in our Cookie Policy. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies, although parts of the Site may not work without strictly necessary cookies.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Because there is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who work on our behalf under contract, such as website hosting and security (Cloudflare), email and messaging delivery, customer-relationship and scheduling tools, and analytics providers (Google)
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, and insurers when reasonably necessary
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy
- With your direction or consent.
Your choices
- Cookies and advertising. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer, your browser settings, or the Global Privacy Control signal described above. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at hello@cavalierdg.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents
- Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents request a list of the third parties to which we disclosed personal information for their own direct-marketing purposes in the prior year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
- Do Not Track. See "Cookies and tracking technologies" for how we respond to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact hello@cavalierdg.com and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above: inquiry and contact records for up to 3 years after our last interaction, and analytics data for the retention period set in the analytics tool (14 months by default). We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it to comply with law or resolve disputes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and vendor security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.
Third-party sites
The Site may link to other websites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. For material changes we will post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Site after that date means you accept the updated policy.
